July 25, 2019 - Back-to-School: Carrie's Story
“My momma didn’t want me to go to school.”
Carrie was nine years old and could not read or write when she came to your Baptist Children’s Village last fall. Carrie’s houseparent, Ellen, said, “She didn’t know all the letters to the alphabet or even how to pronounce many of them.”
July 22, 2019 - New Houseparent: Darbie Smith
We are pleased to welcome Darbie Smith to The Baptist Children’s Village ministry team. She started with us in June and serves as a houseparent on the Fikes-Gatewood Campus in Louisville, MS. Darbie is from Franklinton, LA where her home church is Grace Missionary Baptist Church.

April 2, 2019 - 2019 Mother's Day Annual Offering
The Mississippi Baptist Convention emphasis for The Baptist Children's Village Annual Offering is scheduled around Mother's Day each year. As Southern Baptist Churches focus on family between Mother's Day and Father's Day, we encourage them to pray for BCV families who are struggling, and for the children who are in our care. We also appreciate their continued support and generous gifts to the ministry.

The Baptist Children's Village is pleased to partner with MS Baptist churches this year to provide free name tags for their Vacation Bible School. The name tags are printed with a design to compliment the Lifeway theme or there is a generic design to work with any curriculum. There is also an opportunity to do a mission project or invite a BCV representative to come share during VBS at the kick-off, mission class, commencement, etc. Please click this link to order your name tags and see more.
