August 8, 2022 - BCV Staff Attends TBRI Practitioner Training Conference

BCV Campus Directors, Dorcas staff and Clinical Services staff attended a TBRI Practitioner Training conference on the coast this week. This Trust-Based Relational Intervention method is designed to prepare professionals working with children and families impacted by trauma. “When you connect to the heart of a child, everything is possible.”

 

 

 

 

December 15, 2021 - BCV Staff Visit American Legion

BCV Dickerson Place Campus Director Joyce Wilson and Director of Partner Ministries Tim McWilliams recently visited with members of American Legion Post #79 in Wesson to personally thank them for their recent donation of food, new clothes, and other items to BCV children and families.

December 15, 2021 - Rankin Rotary Bring GIfts

The Rankin county Rotary Club donated individualized gifts for the girls and a smart tv for the boys at the India Nunnery Campus. They also left a basket with items to make s’mores for each house. Thank you Rankin County Rotary for these generous and delicious gifts.

December 15, 2021 - Harley Davidson Christmas Blessings

BCV children received royal treatment at the annual "Harley Party" thanks to the selfless local law enforcement, motorcycle clubs, and volunteers. The event began with the motorcycle parade from Trustmark Park to the Harley Davidson of Jackson shop where they enjoyed lunch, received presents and got to spend time with Santa and his helpers.

November 4, 2021 - 2021 Houseparent Commissioning

“Who will commit to pray for these missionaries?” This was the question from Executive Director-Treasurer Dr. Shawn Parker during the Tuesday evening session at the 2021 Mississippi Baptist Convention annual meeting held at First Baptist Church Jackson, MS on October 26th. Hands went up all over the Convention floor as 14 Houseparent Missionaries were commissioned as Mississippi Baptist missionaries .

November 4, 2021 - Grandmother Honored through Fundraiser

The BCV children and houseparents are thankful for Amy Craig and her online Scentsy fundraiser to collect needed soaps, bath supplies, and laundry detergent. Thank you, Amy, and all your friends and online customers for ministering to our children and families. The fundraiser and everything collected is given in honor of Amy’s grandmother Anne Alexander.

October 4, 2021 - Annual Campus Birthday Party

Prayer—Play—Presents. What a great day. Thank you Enon Baptist Church for continuing the annual birthday party. Dickerson Place children and staff were treated to a cookout, games and gifts which was amazing, but most special were the prayers prayed over each child. October 4, 2021 - Children attend Sea-n-Sail Camp

Mr. Garry & Mrs. Sherry McDugle, House Parents at the Dickerson Place Campus, chaperoned 5 children who participated in a Sea-n-Sail Camp on the MS Gulf Coast. The camp is sponsored by the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum in Gulfport. They learned a lot about aquatic creatures, the seafood industry, how to fish, etc. and enjoyed a rare treat to dip their “toes” (and maybe a little more) in the ocean.

July 30, 2021 - Dunking Booth Benefits BCV Kids

Mrs. Tricia Conner of Hunter Engineering Company dropped by to bring their cash donation to Director of Partner Ministries Tim McWilliams. Their company picnic included a dunking booth benefiting the BCV. Thank you managers for getting all wet for our children.
