November 6, 2020 - U.S. Representative's Staff Visits Campus

Our India Nunnery Campus in Florence hosted Representative Michael Guest staff. Campus Director Kimberly Reed and her staff and residents led tours and gave them some insight into their daily lives. Executive Director Sean Milner explained ways Representative Guest can make a difference for children. We appreciate his commitment to the safety and well-being of at-risk Mississippi children.

September 9, 2020 - Gateway Gives Back

Gateway Tire and Service Centers, in cooperation with Yokohama Tires, has chosen The Baptist Children's Village as September's recipient of the Gateway Gives Back Campaign. This means $3 from every Tuesday oil change performed at all 4 Jackson-area Gateway Tire and Service Centers in September will be donated to The BCV. Tim McWilliams stopped by the Flowood center and met BCV alumnus Jimmy Smith. Jimmy said, “The Baptist Children’s Village changed my life.” Go by and let Jimmy personally change your oil and give him the opportunity to give back. Also pictured is Store Manager Glenn Jones.

September 1, 2020 - Campus-wide Birthday Party

Enon BC had to work with us on an amended version of their annual birthday for all of the residents at our Dickerson Place Campus this year. They furnished pizza, drinks, cake, cupcakes and gifts for everyone. This has been a tradition for over 10 years. Even though it didn't look quite the same, the heartfelt sentiments were as genuine as ever!

September 1, 2020 - Annual Report

The Baptist Children's Village is pleased to provide associations within the Mississippi Baptist Convention and other interested individuals with an annual report of the ministry from our executive director.  We ask associations to include the report in their Book of Reports at the Fall meeting of the association.  We are also pleased to schedule a representative to come speak at the meeting.  Please click here to schedule a speaker or here to do

September 1, 2020 - Quarantine Reading Project

BCV Children are ready for this new school year after a productive summer. From March 16- August 15 a total of 115 books have been read by 11 residents. That averages out to be a little over 11 books per resident. Their Campus Director says, “So excited for this love of reading!”

August 5, 2020 - On-Campus VBS

On-Campus VBS in north Mississippi. Our Farrow Manor and Reedy Acres campuses combined children and resources to host their own safe and fun VBS. Thank you Cindy Sansing at FBC Flora for sharing your “Concrete and Cranes” materials. We had plenty of little construction workers learning about a strong foundation. Thank you also, Vicki Prather for leading all the fun VBS music and pledges. You made Mr. Tom’s Bible studies so much more interesting.

July 22, 2020 - Masks Donated by Homemakers

Just look how cute these are! Our children and staff have masks to keep them protected. Blessed by the ladies of the South Central MS Homemaker Volunteers! They sewed 65 masks for us. Thank you!

July 22, 2020 - Blessings from Park Place

"For I was hungry and you gave me food." Matt 25:35 Thankful for the faithful members of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl for providing an abundance of nonperishable food for the children on our seven BCV campuses. Church members collected food items for the past two weeks for the BCV and another local organization.

July 22, 2020 - BCV Receives Generous Gift of Meat

Your BCV children recently received 80 boxes of beef and pork through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Rev. Garland Boyd and our friends at Macadonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven hosted the distribution for many local nonprofit agencies including The Baptist Children’s Village. U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith is shown with BCV Dickerson Place Campus Director Joyce Wilson. This donation of food is being distributed to the seven BCV campuses. God continues to provide in so many ways!

June 9, 2020 - 2020 Alumni Reunion Canceled

The BCV Alumni Reunion leadership team has met and decided it best to cancel The Baptist Children’s Village/Baptist Orphanage Bi-annual Alumni Reunion scheduled for July 10-11, 2020.
