Legacy Giving – Help ensure that the hope of the gospel of Christ is shared with future generations of BCV children.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…”
Consider making a planned gift to help secure the future of children and families in need. A simple bequest, insurance policy, or trust are a few examples of how you can provide financial benefits not only to your ministry with The Baptist Children’s Village but also personally. Consult with your financial or legal advisor to learn more about how you may benefit from a planned gift.
Remembering The Baptist Children’s Village in your will is the easiest and most popular way to provide for an organization other than gifts of cash and securities. In many cases, a codicil can easily be added to your existing will.
With a specific bequest, you can stipulate that a certain dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or other asset be given to your BCV. An example of such language can include:
“I give $____ to The Baptist Children’s Village, a nonprofit located in Madison County, Mississippi, for general purposes.”
“I give ____% of my estate to The Baptist Children’s Village, a nonprofit located in Madison County, Mississippi, for general purposes.”
Remembering The Baptist Children's Village as a beneficiary through an IRA or retirement plan may be an attractive alternative to a bequest. Contact your retirement plan administrator, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form. As with any estate planning, contact your financial or legal advisor to find out which assets will or will not trigger taxable income when paid to a beneficiary.
You can name The Baptist Children’s Village as the primary beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
