Rachel Rainey,MSW, Campus Director, Reedy Acres Campus
Rachel Rainey joined The Baptist Children’s Village in 2021, serving faithfully as the Reedy Acres Case Manager in Water Valley, Mississippi, for four years. In May of 2025, she was honored to step into the role of Reedy Acres Campus Director.
Originally from New Albany, Mississippi, Rachel moved to Oxford to attend the University of Mississippi, where she now resides. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2021 and continued her education at Ole Miss, receiving her Master’s of Social Work in 2023.
Rachel’s connection to The Baptist Children’s Village is deeply personal—her father, David Rainey, was once a resident. Learning his story and spending time with her family instilled in her a lasting passion for listening to and loving children.
Now, as Campus Director, Rachel considers it a privilege to minister to at-risk children and their families. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity and looks forward to the impact the ministry will continue to have. With a heart full of faith, she eagerly anticipates all that God has planned for the future.
