Program Coordinator, Youth Detention Intervention Program 

  1. QUALIFICATIONS:

The individual assigned to the Program Coordinator position must be a mature Christian adult with a compassionate heart for at risk youth who have been detained within the juvenile justice system. 

The person in this role must possess the organizational skills necessary to coordinate staff, volunteers and meetings while maintaining a current calendar to ensure effective implementation of program goals and strategies. 

The Program Coordinator will need to have the communication and relationship building skills to foster and maintain connections necessary to implement the YDIP

Bachelors degree preferred but not required

  1. DUTIES:
  • Lead in facility outreach and discipleship.
  • Maintain YDIP volunteer calendar schedule according to program requirements.
  • Coordinate scheduling and assist with event planning at facilities, churches, and the BCV; including volunteer training events, equipping and appreciation events, church interest and volunteer recruitment meetings,
  • Help build effective volunteer teams through local church partners.
  • Ensure all materials and resources are ordered and provided for program implementation.
  • Assist in developing a curriculum of resources necessary to implement evangelistic outreach, and discipleship in youth detention facilities; to include Bibles, Gospel tracts, Bible study and discipleship resources. 
  • Assist in ongoing development of curriculum for educating and training volunteers within the program.
