On Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2017, people from around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give to causes they believe in. The BCV is participating again this year in #GivingTuesday and have set our largest goal to date. We want to to raise at least $25,000 by 11/28/2017 through online and social media resources. Last year we raised just over $10,000, but this year we have already secured matching gifts in that amount and we believe with your help and through God's grace we can take #BCVGivingTuesday2017 above and beyond what we have done in the past and not only reach, but exceed, this $25,000 goal.
Here is where you come in. We are gathering friends willing to commit to being a BCV Giving Tuesday Ambassador which would mean:
1. One to two weeks before Giving Tuesday (after November 13th), start your own online giving campaign. Set a goal and spread the word on social media and by email. Don't worry. It is easy and we will send instructions on how to do it.
2. When you make your gift, encourage others to give as well by sharing your own personal photo holding up your index finger as if showing the number one with a smiley face drawn on the tip and in your post include the hashtag #change1life4ever.
3. On November 28th be on the lookout for status updates, tweets, and emails throughout the day. Don't forget to share them with your own networks and use these hastags #bcvgivingtuesday2017, #givingtuesday, and #change1life4ever.
