PARTNER MINISTRIES ASSOCIATE-SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
1. QUALIFICATIONS
The Partner Ministries Associate for The Baptist Children’s Village & Family Ministries (“BCV&FM”) must be a mature Christian adult whose character, reputation, and habits reflect the highest standards upheld by BCV&FM. The Associate works alongside the Director of Partner Ministries to identify, cultivate, and engage churches, business owners, and individual donors to support annual funding goals. The Associate also responds to development opportunities that advance BCV&FM’s mission, vision, and values. This position is responsible for the assigned region of South Mississippi, as designated by the Director. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Partner Ministries (Development) team to plan and implement development activities.
- Review donor reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of Baptist Children’s Village constituents.
- Assist with fundraising initiatives, public relations activities, and church-related speaking engagements.
- Support campus activities, church relations efforts, and area events as requested.
- Assist the Director of Partner Ministries in the budget process, including anticipating expenses and operating the Partner Ministries program within the budget approved by the BCV&FM Board of Trustees.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO FUNDRAISING
- Help develop and execute strategies for new donor acquisition and donor growth.
- Ensure proper donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for donors within the assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Director of Partner Ministries to determine moves-management strategies for transitioning annual donors into major gift donors.
RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO EVENTS AND DONOR RECOGNITION
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising events to increase ministry awareness and engage potential donors.
- Help facilitate and maintain an effective donor recognition and stewardship program for all donors.
3. SUPERVISION
The Partner Ministries Associate works in cooperation with, and under the supervision of, the Director of Partner Ministries.
