The Baptist Children's Village is looking a for married couple to join their ministry team as houseparents at the Deanash Campus in Wiggins.
Applicants must be mature Christian adults with personal integrity, character and reputation with standards and ethics expected of any member of The Baptist Children's Village staff to be considered for the available position.
The primary job responsibility of a house parent is to maintain a home-like environment that models healthy, Christian family living for children and/or youth residents.
The duties of a house parent are many and are varied and somewhat dependent upon the specific program and cottage to which assigned. The following list of responsibilities is to provide an overview of the job and is not an exhaustive list.
Other job responsibilities:
路 Provide immediate supervision of residents in the cottage and other settings
路 Participate fully in the implementation of each resident鈥檚 Plan of Care
路 Model Christian values and lifestyle for residents and their families
路 Model a healthy physical, social and emotional lifestyle for residents
路 Serve as the primary transportation resource for residents of assigned cottage
Job requirements:
路 25-65 years of age
路 A husband/wife team will be considered for this position
路 Good physical, mental and emotional health
路 Stable, even disposition
路 Valid driver's license with a good driving record
路 Educational background must be at a minimum a GED, but some college is preferred
路 Experience in child rearing is preferred
路 Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment
路 Good organizational skills
