  Employment Opportunity in Wiggins for Couple

The Baptist Children's Village is looking a for married couple to join their ministry team as houseparents at the Deanash Campus in Wiggins.

Applicants must be mature Christian adults with personal integrity, character and reputation with standards and ethics expected of any member of The Baptist Children's Village staff to be considered for the available position. 

The primary job responsibility of a house parent is to maintain a home-like environment that models healthy, Christian family living for children and/or youth residents.

The duties of a house parent are many and are varied and somewhat dependent upon the specific program and cottage to which assigned.  The following list of responsibilities is to provide an overview of the job and is not an exhaustive list. 

Other job responsibilities:

          Provide immediate supervision of residents in the cottage and other settings

          Participate fully in the implementation of each resident鈥檚 Plan of Care

          Model Christian values and lifestyle for residents and their families

          Model a healthy physical, social and emotional lifestyle for residents

          Serve as the primary transportation resource for residents of assigned cottage

 

Job requirements:

          25-65 years of age

          A husband/wife team will be considered for this position

          Good physical, mental and emotional health

          Stable, even disposition

          Valid driver's license with a good driving record

          Educational background must be at a minimum a GED, but some college is preferred

          Experience in child rearing is preferred

          Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment

          Good organizational skills
