The BCV Helped These Three Sisters--Let's Do More to Help MS Children

"I felt loved."

Is there anything more powerful in a child's life than knowing they are loved? For three Alumni, it was love that encouraged, inspired and equipped them for the lives they live today. These sisters recently shared how they felt loved by BCV staff when they first came to the ministry at the ages of 11, 13 and 14. One shares about her memories of Alabel Wiser, then Counselor and now Intake Social Worker, "She made me feel loved right away. She let us know she genuinely cared for us." Today all three are Godly wives and mothers with successful careers.

Just as Godly parents show love to their children by providing for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, The Baptist Children's Village shows Christ's love to Mississippi children by providing for their needs through our S.A.F.E. Track.

Since 1967 the Mississippi Baptist Convention has recognized Mother's Day as the day of emphasis for The Baptist Children's Village Annual Offering. Please partner with us this year with your monetary gift and encourage your church and friends to support The Baptist Children's Village Annual Offering at Mother's Day. Together we will continue to provide Christian homes for hurting Mississippi children.

In 2010 we are expanding our mission efforts with the help of many volunteers. By yearend, we will add two new campuses giving us to a total of nine campuses across the state and allowing The Baptist Children's Village ministry to be even closer to those who need us. There are hundreds more children like Lois, Deborah and Pam, who need to feel loved in a home where God is honored and where they can experience hope and opportunity. It is because of your commitment to this mission of Christian child care that we are afforded the opportunity to reach them so that, as healthy, productive adults, they too can say "I felt loved".

Sincerely,

Rory Lee
Executive Director

P.S. Please be sure to give your 2010 gift to The Baptist Children's Village Annual Offering on or before Mother's Day.
