  BCV Addresses Mississippi Child Homelessness

In light of the recent reports regarding child homelessness in Mississippi , The Baptist Children's Village wants your help in communicating in your local Mississippi communities that The Baptist Children's Village is a resource for children and families.

For 112 years, The Baptist Children's Village has worked with Mississippi families through all levels of family crisis including homelessness to provide a safe home for children. We accept children from 2-17 yrs of age and they can stay in our program until they turn 21. Having children in a safe place allows that legal guardian to work to improve their job, home, health or other situations while keeping their children in a stable enviroment. The legal guardian maintains custody of the child while they are in the care of The Baptist Children's Village.

To help us get out the word, please contact your local civic, school and church groups and ask them to invite us to come and share about our work.

If you know of families that need our services, please help them contact The Baptist Children's Village, Social Services Department, Jill Nicholas at 601-922-2242.
