An individual plan of care is made for each child that comes into the ministry of The Baptist Children's Village.  Staff work together to place every child on the S.A.F.E. Track, accessing and building a strong foundation in each of four critical areas: Spiritual Growth, Academic Achievement, Family Values and Emotional Strength.

Spiritual needs are a priority at The Baptist Children's Village. Recognizing that healing comes only from our Heavenly Father, staff pursue a variety of avenues to meet children where they are and show Christ's love to them.  Teaching God's Holy Word through cottage devotionals, Bible study and worship opportunities planned by our Campus Pastor, and regular church attendance at host churches combine to help our residents in their quest for God and His plan for their lives.

Academic needs for our children are significant and varied.  All our children attend public schools in the community where they live.  Many of them need additional tutoring or remedial reading assistance.  The BCV strives to make every possible resource available to help them succeed academically.

Family values are modeled for residents by BCV staff members.  Extensive efforts are made to provide a home-like, comfortable environment for all children, ages 4 to 21, while they are in the care of The Baptist Children's Village.  Family continues to be a critical part of our children's lives despite their separation.  In many instances it is possible for qualified, professional staff to work successfully with families and children to reunite them

Emotional support is an important and time intensive part of The Baptist Children's Village ministry.  Every staff member works to encourage children, recognizing the voids left in their lives and their deep need to be loved.  Child Care Workers who live in cottages with children are on the front lines and act as parents in every sense of the word by loving, disciplining and providing for the basic needs of each child on a daily basis.  Counselors work to heal and restore children who are hurting on many levels.  Additional specialized help is available to residents through our clinical psychologist.  All of these work together to positively effect every child for good and for God.
