» Ministries » Overview
The Baptist Children's Village is a Christ-centered ministry whose focus is to help children and their families fully understand and experience the healing ministry of Christ by meeting their daily needs and inspiring them to become Christian adults who are happy, healthy and mature. We have been caring for Mississippi children since 1897 and have grown to a statewide ministry that includes 7 residential campuses and a centrally located Headquarters. The BCV provides quality residential care for about 200 children every year.
Because the needs of children and their families have changed drastically since those early days, we continually evaluate this ministry to meet these ever-changing needs, always maintaining the primary focus of our founding fathers to show Christ's love to children and families. We recognize that families in Mississippi today face a multitude of challenges and often need help overcoming temporary difficult circumstances resulting from illness or a myriad of poverty related issues. Our continued efforts to expand the ministry throughout the state provides easier access for families who need assistance and desire to be involved with their child/children while they are rebuilding their lives; and to Department of Human Services Social Workers who desperately need residential child care services for children in their area of the the state.
The Baptist Children's Village is the official child care agency of The Mississippi Baptist Convention. Our Headquarters are located in Ridgeland at 114 Marketridge Drive just off the Highland Colony Parkway.
