Welcome to The Baptist Children's Village volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are an integral part of this ministry. Indeed, it is because of the generosity of thousands of volunteers throughout our history that The Baptist Children's Village has been able to provide quality care for countless children.

Work projects
Campus Wide
- Organize supplies in barn area
- Painting at Shed
- Cut up and discard 24" tree (already down)
O'Neal Cottage
- Exterior painting
- Interior painting (kitchen and pantry)
- Refurbish flower beds (low maintenance)
Earl Cottage
- Replace rotting boards and bench seat
- Enlarge Laundry rooms
- Refurbish flower beds (low maintenance)
Horace Cottage
- Build metal or PVC clothes racks for hanging clothes
- Install A/C Unit in game room

Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing. You may think of other things that can benefit the children. Contact us with those ideas and we will explore them with you.
January
- Sponsor a New Year''s Eve event
February
- Sponsor a Valentine''s or "True Love Waits" activity
March
- Sponsor/Coordinate a "Spring Fling" to celebrate the arrival of spring or St. Patrick''s Day.
April
- Sponsor a child for Easter or plan an Easter Scavenger Hunt or make age-appropriate Easter baskets with both useful and fun things for Easter.
May
- "April showers bring May flowers." Help us weed and refurbish our flower beds.
- Sponsor/Plan an "Out of School Bash" with games and activities like "building the longest banana split".
June
- Plan/Sponsor a "Wet & Wild" activity (Think of things that relate to getting wet like water balloons, water guns, slip & slide. Maybe you have more fun ideas.
- Plan/Sponsor a Cookout Event
July
- Sponsor/host a 4th of July event the first part of July. That event might include watermelons, homemade ice cream, or fireworks display.
August
- Sponsor a "Tailgate Party" to kick off the school year and the beginning of the sports season.
- Sponsor a child''s "back to school" needs or donate gift cards that can be used to purchase school clothes and supplies.
September
- Sponsor a movie night by providing either movie passes or G/PG rated movies and popcorn and cokes.
- Purchase school pictures and yearbooks for children and teenagers.
October
- Sponsor/Coordinate a fall festival. That festival might include a hay ride, bonfire, weiner roast.
- Coordinate an activity that addresses needs related to "World Hunger" that our residents can participate in.
November
- Help locate/coordinate an opportunity for our residents to help serve a meal in a homeless shelter/mission.
December
- Give our residents the gift of "giving". Coordinate an opportunity for them to participate in a community service project to help others during Christmas.
- Plan an evening to look at Christmas lights and enjoy hot chocolate.
