Dr. Rory Lee

Dr. Lee received both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Mississippi College and his Doctorate from the University of Mississippi.  He brings with him extensive administrative experience having served as President of Louisiana College and of William Carey College prior to accepting his call to serve as Executive Director of The Baptist Children's Village in 2004.  Dr. Lee also served as Director of Development and as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Mississippi College.  He is an ordained minister who served as bi-vocational pastor for nearly 20 years, and still enjoys the opportunities he has to fill the pulpit in churches across the state.



Dr. Randy Cotton

Dr. Cotton is a Clinical Psychologist who joined The BCV staff in 1999.  He has practiced in hospital and outpatient settings, consulted with public, private and medical agencies and taught psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Dr. Cotton earned his Bachelors Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, and his Masters and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He completed his internship in the University of Tennessee Memphis, Professional Psychology Internship Consortium.  He is a regular presenter at the Annual Southern Baptist Childcare Symposium and at the Alabama Baptist Children's Homes Camp of Champions annual retreat.  He also speaks frequently on parenting, family relationships, childhood emotional and mental health issues, and related topics.

Ms. Kathy Flournoy

Kathy first joined The Baptist Children's Village staff in 1998 as a Houseparent and has since served in several areas including case management, academics and cottage life.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Social Services from Belhaven College and is currently pursuing a graduate degree.  Kathy has always enjoyed working with children of all ages and has involved herself with children and teenagers teaching Sunday School and leading and chaperoning many youth mission trips through the years.  Kathy considers it a joy and a calling to serve in her current position on The India Nunnery Campus of The BCV.

Rev. Tate joined The Baptist Children's Village staff in 1996 as a Houseparent and Maintenance Coordinator for our Farrow Manor and Reedy Acres Campuses.  In addition to his current administrative responsibilities at The BCV, he serves as Adult Men's Sunday School Teacher and Senior Adult Leader at Wyatte Baptist Church.  Prior to coming to The Baptist Children's Village, he served as bi-vocational pastor for churches in Prentiss, Union and Pontotoc Counties.  He continues to enjoy opportunities to preach.

Mr. Mark Rosamond

Mr. Rosamond joined the BCV staff in 1994 as Director of Properties.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.   Mark has seven years of experience as an administrator in the utility and bottling industries.

Mrs. Thames joined the Public Relations Department at The Baptist Children's Village in June of 1982.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Mississippi College.  Chrystelle is past president of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi Board and has served on the Southern Public Relations Federation Board.  She is also a member of the Southern Baptist Child Care Communications and Development Group.  Chrystelle is a BCV alumnus and brings a unique perspective to her role as the ministry spokesperson.  She has also served as an advocate for children in volunteer leadership roles in the Jr. Auxiliary of Clinton, local PTA organizations and in the youth department at her church.

Mrs. Joyce Wilson

Mrs. Wilson has been with The Baptist Children's Village since 1985.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences from William Carey College.   Prior to joining The BCV staff, Joyce worked with Southwest Mississippi Mental Health.  She is actively involved in her church and has taught a number of children, youth and young married classes, and served as Associational Baptist Young Women's Director for three years.  Joyce has always been very involved in missions, serving as a summer missionary to New Mexico, Camp Counselor at Camp Garaywa, and teaching Acteens.  She now considers The Baptist Children's Village her mission field and works hard to impact the lives of children for Christ every day.

Gwen joined The Baptist Children's Village staff as the Academic/Medical Needs Coordinator and part-time Houseparent at the Reedy Acres Campus in January 2005.  In November 2006 she accepted the position as Unit Administrator for the Reedy Acres Campus in Water Valley.  She is a native of Panola County having graduated from Panola High School.  Gwen is a Program and Curriculum Developer with 22 years experience working with children of all ages.  Gwen values her faith in God and loves working with children.

Ms. Brenda Ulmer

Brenda is currently serving as the campus director for the Winston County campus of The Baptist Children's Village.  Prior to coming to Winston County, she served in a similar position on the India Nunnery Campus in Jackson, Mississippi.  Brenda came to The BCV with 28 years of experience in state government.  22 of those years she worked as Webster County Director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services.  She received three degrees from Mississippi State University.  They include a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry and General Science and Master's Degrees in Educational Leadership and Public Policy and Administration.  She has also received continuing education and training in many social service areas.  In addition, Brenda is a longtime resident of Webster county.  She has served the community in many capacities including cub scout and girl scout leader, 4-H advisor and council member, job readiness teacher to unskilled adults, as well as, Sunday school teacher.
